Another golf season is upon us, and I couldn’t be more excited. After a long cold winter, I think all golfers are all set to get out onto the course. The first thing I always do at the beginning of every season is check my golf bag. I want to make sure I’m loaded with tees, balls, a golf towel, ball mark fixer, sunscreen, and any other item I might need during a round of golf. One of the things that goes unnoticed is your grips. At some point your grips will get slippery. At that point you should grab a new pair. The only connection you have to your club is through your hands so having grips that feel tacky will help you play better for sure.
Before you play you should always stretch. Especially early in the spring when you haven’t played for awhile. The last thing you need is to pull a muscle or throw your back out. Early in the season is also a great time to get a tune up lesson. Make sure your grip, aim and posture are in order. Some fundamentals are always a great point to playing well. PGA- Posture, Grip, Aim.
