MONTICELLO – Sheriff Mike Schiff welcomed five new deputies who started in the Jail Division on Monday. They were sworn in by Sullivan County Clerk Russell Reeves who administered the oath of office. Four of the five recruits are transfers from local New York State Correctional facilities. This is a bonus for Sullivan County since the former state correction officers already have the required academy training.
