MONGAUP VALLEY – In a Collins early game this past Tuesday, the weather was the perfect backdrop for a summer evening game. Fosterdale Equipment and Krupp Contracting squared off for the fourth time this season, with FE holding a three-game advantage.

In those games, the score difference was within a two-point margin, but this past Tuesday, FE sealed this win easily, taking the game 19-1. Kelsey Kurthy scored the only run for Krupp off a double from teammate Leslie Olivencia. Sheila Burns started off the game with some heat, hitting a triple and would score FE’s first run of the game on the next hit.

On the mound, Krupp pitching struggled creating a bases loaded situation twice in the game for FE and in the top of the second inning, FE would capitalize on the play, scoring a total of seven runs in the inning.

As Krupp came up to bat at the bottom of the second inning, they were down 8-1 and were unable to turn the page on scoring. As the game continued, FE took over. For FE Bristol Woods, Sheila Burns, Kayla Connolly, Jen Deitz, and Chelsea Cunningham all played exceptional offense at the plate and played a solid game out in the field.

Fosterdale Equipment is scheduled to play Charlie’s Angels this Tuesday, July 22, in Neversink at 6:15 pm, and Krupp will return to Collins Field to face Bat Girls Club on the same night at 7:30 pm.
