At the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA), we are continuously evolving to better serve our community and promote the vibrant region we call home. Our mission has always been to foster regional growth and to showcase the diverse attractions, culture, and experiences that make our County a unique destination. This year, we are taking exciting steps to enhance our offerings, including a revamped travel guide and a new approach to how we work with local businesses.
We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Edible Manhattan on our new bi-annual travel guide for the Sullivan Catskills. This comprehensive guide will serve as a key resource for visitors seeking to explore everything our region has to offer. Whether it’s the scenic beauty of our region, the charm of our small towns, or the rich local history, the guide will highlight the very best of Sullivan County.
This new edition will feature an updated design, showcasing everything from outdoor adventures to cultural events, local dining, and lodging. We’re focused on creating an inspiring and informative tool for visitors to plan their trips while giving local businesses a platform to reach a wider audience.
In keeping with our commitment to fostering a stronger, more connected community, we are excited to announce that we are now accepting listings for the travel guide at no charge. We are focusing on providing free, open access to all businesses in the region, allowing everyone an equal opportunity to showcase their business.
This shift reflects our belief that collaboration, rather than competition, is the key to the region’s success. By eliminating the barriers of paid membership, we’re ensuring that our travel guide is truly representative of Sullivan County’s diverse array of businesses, from the smallest mom-and-pop shops to the larger establishments that define our economy.
Our focus at SCVA is to uplift the Sullivan Catskills as a whole. We are committed to supporting every corner of our county, encouraging people to explore the many facets of our region. We believe that when one community thrives, we all thrive. Our new initiatives reflect this ethos as we work to ensure that every business, attraction, and service in Sullivan County is celebrated.
As we move forward, we remain passionate about celebrating the Catskills and sharing its beauty and charm with visitors near and far. The future is bright, and with the support of the Sullivan County community, we are excited to continue building a stronger, more inclusive region for all.
