OHIO – July 12 started a week-long racing adventure for four Sullivan County racers. Daniel Olsen, Karan Seekamp, and Emma Gaebel represented Liberty as Local Champs, winning the local race in May.  Ava Diehl represented as a Rally Champ.

Each year, Sullivan County holds a local race the weekend after Memorial Day. Drivers compete in three divisions:

Stock ages 7-13

Super Stock ages 9-18

Masters ages 12-21

The winner of each division earns an invite to the world championship held in Akron, Ohio. Soapbox derby kids can also earn an invite to the world championship by earning points on a rally circuit from competing throughout the year.

Emma Gaebel finished first in the Challenge Race for Local Masters, and 9th place in the World Championship Race.

Ava Diehl came in 3rd place in the Challenge Race for Rally Stock, 2nd place in the All-Star race for Rally Stock, and 2nd place in the World Championship race. Ava was also the National points Champion for rally racers this year.
