To the editor:

I was extremely pleased that Fred Stabbert III was the most recent inductee to the Sullivan County Democrat Golf Tourney Hall of Fame. No one is more deserving of the honor.

I participated in the tournament for many years and it is the best run and most competitive tournament I have ever had the privilege of playing in. Fred and his predecessors, along with the staff at the Villa Roma golf course, have always done a great job of facilitating the annual event.

Their efforts are clearly appreciated, with the tournament registration filling very quickly. Thanks for many happy memories and keep up the good work and success for many years to come.
