Highlight Little World’s Fair

The 146th annual Grahamsville Little World’s Fair brought another weekend of traditional fair fun to Sullivan County from August 14th–16th. Hosted by the Neversink Agricultural Society, the event once again combined agriculture, entertainment and family activities in a way that feels both nostalgic and distinctly local.

Livestock and 4-H remained at the heart of the event, with youth and open shows featuring bovine, sheep, goats, rabbits, poultry, and horses. Visitors could also browse the 4-H Artisan Market, check out presentations, and take in the annual livestock and agricultural products auction, giving young exhibitors an opportunity to showcase the skills and hard work they’ve developed all year. One notable milestone this year: the 4-H Moo-Juicers celebrated their 50th anniversary, making it a particularly exciting year for the dairy club.

Beyond the barns, families enjoyed carnival rides, games, live music and food, while highlights throughout the weekend included the annual watermelon eating contest, classic car show, chicken races, draft horse pull and Saturday night’s fireworks.

With its small-town charm and strong sense of community, the Grahamsville Little World’s Fair remains the longest-running independent fair in New York, yet continues to offer something for everyone.
