Michael’s dog, Andy is here most of the time and is literally on his last legs. He has been hanging in there despite the fact that the vet has told Michael that he needs to face the fact and have him put to sleep soon. Andy is fifteen and a half years old, and has been collapsing, and at times fainting. He has trouble standing up after that happens, but after resting he is able to get up again. Despite all of that, he manages to go up and down the ramp that Michael built for him in order to relieve himself and enjoy the outdoors. He likes interacting with the neighborhood dogs, and going to the backyard to flop onto the grass. He also enjoys going on trips in the car with Michael, stretching out on the rug in my bedroom or living room, as well as eating and being petted.
I have been waiting to replace my cat, Daisy, who had to be put to sleep recently due to her various health issues.
