 Come to Jeffersonville’s Sunday Market held on Sundays May 25 to August 31 from 11am-2pm at the Jeff Bake Shop! Last Sunday was a bit cold but this Sunday should be warmer. JEMS has a table with information about what beautification projects they do and the events they host in the Backyard Park that includes FREE outdoor movies! The Lion King is playing tonight at dusk with Butch and his Petting Zoo and a face painter before the movie. The Concession stand will be open with fresh popcorn & other goodies too.

Sunday, June 8 the movie “Fireproof” will be shown at the First Presbyterian Church in Jeffersonville at 2pm in the church sanctuary. The story is about Caleb Holt a heroic fire captain who values dedication and service to others above all else. The movie is about 2 ½ hours long and will include a short intermission. Free admission and refreshments. Please come out and support the church’s effort to reach out to their community with love and fellowship. Join the Western Sullivan Public Library at their Jeffersonville Branch on Tuesday, June 10 at 6pm for a “D.I.Y. Energy Saving Session.” Join Steve Bonds-Liptay, Energy Advisor from the Cornell Cooperative Extension, for an energy saving session. Register now to reserve a FREE energy kit ($80 value that includes 2 LED light bulbs, weatherstripping, door sweep, power strip, window insulation, foam tape for windows/doors, and foam outlet & switch gaskets) and learn how to take simple “do it yourself” actions to reduce energy waste and save money on your utility bills. Also to be discussed: heat pumps, insulation, and incentives for home energy upgrades, EmPower, and HEAP. Register soon as space and supplies are limited. Yet another event at the  Western Sullivan Public Library at their Jeffersonville Branch on Tuesday, June 24 at 12pm for an exciting 3D Printing Show from Toysinbox, Inc.! Their 3D printing experts will set up exhibits for people to see and to play with throughout the library including a short presentation and a quick 3D printed flute live performance. Visitors can 3D print a mini mug themselves and try hands-on activities to color a 3D printed tag, a bookmark/card, taking the finished item home! Great experience for all ages!

A Bowhunter Youth Camp is being held at the Sullivan County Conservation Club in Ferndale on July 19 and 20 with the deadline for all applications due by June 30. Applications and information  may be found on the Sullivan County Conservation Club’s Facebook page. Area youth can enjoy an informative, no cost archery camp while learning safety and everything else they need to know to begin bowhunting. The program is run by NYSDEC certified Hunter Education Safety Instructors and all youth completing the camp will leave with their Bowhunters safety certificate which is required to purchase a NYS archery license. With space limited, admission will be determined by a brief essay each applicant must include that explains their interest in learning to bow hunt.Jeffersonville
