I borrowed this information from Channing Rutledge, Tri-Gal 4-H Club News Reporter. I think it is very good advice. Summer is approaching , 4-H and FFA members as well as our farmers will be walking and moving their livestock along roadsides or crossing our roads. While you are driving, please be careful and use caution passing them. Loud noises can startle livestock, causing them to break through fences which is stressful and costly to both the animal and the farmer. Also, any litter along the roadside might be consumed by livestock causing them serious health issues or death. If you are walking and see litter, please pick it up. When driving I have noticed some of our roadsides that have signs stating people or groups are working to keep an area beautiful by keeping it cleaned up. Thank you!
