I am sitting here writing this column with snow flurries and a gloomy, cold day out there! Are we ready for what is coming? Still trying to get somebody to explain what the black versus brown lines means on a woolly bear!

Thanksgiving is getting close and “Wingmom” just posted they will provide you with some holiday help if you are hosting family and friends and it is getting more stressful than exciting! Call them if you need them to lift heavy items, go grocery shopping for you and run errands! They are an amazing group and can handle it for you. They even clean and tidy-up. Let Cuppie Cakes Desserts, located on Main Street in Jeffersonville, handle dessert for you and your guests while you are busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. They are taking orders now with pickup scheduled for Wednesday, November 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will also have last minute treats in the case that day for anyone who needs something a little extra sweet. Lots of delicious pies, cinnamon rolls with different flavors and dessert boxes full of an assortment of their fall treats. Stop in and try to decide what you would like. You can go on their Facebook page to order, completing their Google form too to order.

Double D Sourdough, now next to Cuppie Cake Desserts, also has a Thanksgiving Menu! Lots of cozy flavors and seasonal favorites to bring warmth to your holiday table. Herbed dinner rolls, Olive oil, Sage and Rosemary Focaccia, a stuffing kit, and a sweet Maple Pecan Sourdough Loaf with Bose Farm Maple Syrup (yet another local person)! Text 845-807-2181 or PM on Facebook messenger to place your order. Pickup will be Wednesday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Thanksgiving morning from 9 a.m. until noon.

The Diehl Homestead Farm is making beautiful Christmas wreaths, crosses, grave blankets, table toppers, and swags – decorated or plain. FMI: Call the farmhouse at 845-482-5047 or call/text 845-796-8922. Visit the farm to see more details/prices and to order in person. They are located at 93 Diehl Road, Callicoon and are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Great news! Liberty Blooms West is opening a satellite shop in Jeffersonville at 4886 State Rte. 52. This fantastic Florist & Gift Shop is opening on Main Street bringing Joseph’s signature designs  with a grab and go, by special order, and fresh bouquets on the run. They have  expanded their gift selections just for you! If you see the door open, stop in.  A soft opening soon and they will be open on Black Friday for the James Dworetsky Holiday Parade, opening that morning.
