The Winter is really giving us a rough time. I have said it before and I am going to say it again. Thank you to all the hardworking men and women keeping our roads safe. Important work keeping the roads open for our emergency vehicles and volunteers to get through too. Cannot believe parts of Florida got 1-3 inches of snow! How many days until Spring? It was -2 at my house Tuesday!

Talking of Spring… Sunday, March 22 the Protection Hose Company No.1 of Jeffersonville is having their 24th Annual Chicken Barbecue from 1-4 p.m. at their firehouse on Main Street. Takeouts only for $15 each. See a firefighter for your tickets! Bring your family and friends for a delicious BBQ while you support the dedicated volunteers.

Reminder that Heart-A-Thon cards are still available for purchase at all Jeff Bank branches until February 19. Every card sold helps support important programs for the prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease within our Sullivan County Communities. Please stop in at one of their branches and buy a red heart for only $1 or a gold heart for $10.

A fundraiser for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, sponsored by the AOH Sullivan Brothers is being held Saturday, February 21 at Hectors Bar from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The band “Windy Mule” will be playing as well as BJ Hendrickson. There will be raffle prizes, 50/50 and 2 Bethel Woods Season tickets for $10 each.

The St Patrick’s Parade will be Saturday, March 14 starting at 1 p.m. with lineup at noon on Willy Avenue in Jeffersonville. Any bands, marchers, groups -- including kid’s groups, floats, Fire Departments & EMS responders are invited to participate in this fun-filled event. For more information, call JP Graham 845-807-7980.

Stay warm and let me know if you have anything you would like to share!
