I hope everybody is OK after the horrible weather we had. I still have some snow. Friday is Spring, let’s have some good weather again! I finally saw flocks of geese and two robins before the high winds hit. Wonder if they blew away or are hunkering down somewhere?

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Jeffersonville was once again a great success, even with the windy cold weather! (at least it wasn’t snowing) The FF McPadden Pipes & Drum Corps were wonderful, floats and decorated vehicles really decorated for the day and the marchers looking good and smiling while they gave out treats. A big congratulations to the Grand Marshall, Duke Devlin!

The Easter Bunny is hopping over to Cuppie Cakes (Main Street Jeffersonville) March 29 at noon! Bring the kiddos to meet the Easter Bunny, snap some photos in front of a beautiful balloon backdrop, grab some goodies and have a fun time. The first 75 kiddos who come to meet the bunny will get a free sugar cookie! They decided to make Easter goodie bags too after their St. Patrick’s Day goodie bags went so well! They are teaming up again with the talented @v_degori_777 to make adorable, personalized bags filled with a pack of sugar cookies, a giant chocolate dipped marshmallow pop, a chocolate-covered Oreo, a delicious cakesicle, and a chocolate lollipop! Pick up at the Cuppie Cakes when you meet the bunny on March 29. Message them to order/claim before they are gone at Cuppie Cake Desserts.

The Callicoon Kiwanis Club is holding a delicious Pancake Breakfast on Palm Sunday, March 29 from 7 a.m. until noon at the Delaware Community Center in Callicoon. Adults are $12, children ages 6-12 are $6 and children 5 and under are free. Bring your family and friends out for a great breakfast and help to support our local youth.

Save the Date: JEMS (Jeffersonville Enhances More of Sullivan) our beautification/community minded group is having the first Kids Fest on Saturday, May 16 starting at 11 a.m. in The Backyard Park (located at 21 Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville).  There will be vendors with items for sale, and school and/or youth clubs are invited to join them too, perhaps to sell items to help with their own groups planned events (vendors & groups can set up at 10 a.m.).  Please contact Debbie for an application & to register for a spot at 845-701-3009. Come and enjoy music by DJ Jim, Butch will be there for fun rides on his pony starting at 11:30, meet Alpacas from Buck Brook Alpacas, Inc., “Touch-A-Truck from the Jeffersonville Fire Department too. Games, Art & Crafts for the kids and more! JEMS Concession stand will have fresh popcorn, hot dogs and other items for you to purchase and for a delicious dessert, Rianne’s Ice Cream will be there from the Myers Century Farm too! Grab the kids and spend a fun day in the park. FMI: Sue 845-796-6966.
