On a personal note, I would never even think about being a bus driver. Last week I was stopped facing a bus that was letting two boys off that needed to cross in front of the bus and my car. They started to cross but stopped midway in front of the bus, glanced up and waited for the driver to motion them on. I admire the drivers for their dedication and sense of responsibility for the students. It does take heart to be a bus driver – please slow down and stop, waiting to be sure you are ok to go, just like the kids do.

Last weekend the Jeffersonville Fire Department and other neighboring Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at 4:45 a.m. and then the Jeffersonville Fire Department worked a Motor Vehicle Accident in front of their firehouse at 9:25 a.m. Afterwards they had their annual physicals! All of your volunteer Fire Departments regularly participate in drills and training sessions and help within their community’s as needed for many different types of events. Thank you to our volunteers in all of our towns for responding 24/7 to take care of all of us! Please support them at their fund-raising events too!
