A reminder! The 146th Annual Grahamsville Little World’s Fair is being held this weekend, the 13-16 at the fairgrounds in of course, Grahamsville! Bring your family and come out to celebrate a great community event while you stop by and enjoy the incredible Sullivan County 4-H Youth Fair that features many activities throughout the weekend. They have lots of different livestock and horses to crafts, presentations, shows, races, an Auction and fireworks too! I always loved this Fair – both of our boys belonged to the Moo Juicers with Linda Kays. When you go in the 4-H Youth barn, you can shop local treasures, support youth entrepreneurship, and help fund future opportunities with 15% of the sales going to the 4-H Scholarship Fund.
Don’t forget to bring your family and friends to a Movie Music Family Dance Party on Friday, August 21 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Backyard Park (21 Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville). FREE for all ages and Free pony rides too! Refreshments will be available for purchase that include fresh popped popcorn and delicious hot dogs. The AOH Sullivan Brothers are having a “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Golf Outing” on Saturday, September 12 at the Tarry Brae Golf Course. Registration at 11:30, lunch and then a 1 p.m. Shotgun Start. A Scramble Format Tournament for men and women with 18 holes for $100 per player. Classes for their Fall Dance Session start September 12 at the Janice Center! Classes are open to ages 4 and up and include Ballet, Hip Hop and Lyrical with most classes held during the week at 4 and 5 p.m. Lyrical and advanced Hip Hop are held on Saturdays. Join the Western Sullivan Public Library for the “Yankee Stargazers” with Meteorologist Joe Rao via Virtual ZOOM on Thursday, August 20 at 4 p.m. Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary a Semiquincentennial tribute to American astronomers while you explore how the science of astronomy developed from the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence until the present time. Save the Date: Saturday, September 19 is the Annual Jeff Jamboree with live music by the Little Sparrow group , a Tractor Parade at Noon on Main Street in Jeffersonville and Duck Race at 3 p.m. Lots of fun all day with lots of vendors and free horse drawn wagon rides too!
