Does your child have a green thumb? Love to play in the dirt? Are they particularly passionate about science and agriculture? They just might thrive in WSPL’s Garden Club on Saturday, May 2nd at 10am! Garden Club is for kids ages 6-12 and meets once a month in the spring (twice a month during the summer) on Saturdays at 10am at the Narrowsburg Branch. This month we will be preparing our garden for transplanting our seedlings, and starting a new batch of seeds for summer vegetables!
WSPL’s Garden Club is part of the Junior Master Gardeners program, an international youth gardening program that engages children in novel, “hands-on” group and individual learning experiences that provide a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. Participants will learn all about gardening, from starting seeds to harvesting, and will participate in community service projects to earn their Junior Master Gardener certification.
