Hard to believe that November will be here before you know it. I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and fun Halloween. As a reminder there is no school for students at Sullivan West on Friday, November 1st, so please remember to plan accordingly.

Here are some events happening in and around our community:

Winter athletic sign-ups at Sullivan West are open. Please register your child on FAMILYID for all winter sports. JV and Varsity practice begins on November 18 and modified practices start on November 25th. Let’s go bulldogs! More information can be found on the Sullivan West website.

Sullivan West Fall Athletic Awards will be held on November 6th with modified awards taking place at 1:50 and JV and Varsity awards will be held at 7 PM.

The Cochecton Men’s Club will be hosting a kids Halloween party on October 31st at 6:30 PM at the Cochecton Men’s Club Hall (the former Cochecton Presbyterian Church). There will be treats, drinks and games!

Mammo on the Move will be at the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps on Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please call 607-798-5723 to schedule your appointment. You do not need to be a Lourdes patient to use this service. Your results can be sent to the provider of your choice. They welcome insured and uninsured women with no referral needed. To find out if you are eligible for low- or no-cost screenings, call the Cancer Services Program at 607-778-3900.

The Delaware Valley Junior Rifle Club started on October 16th at Earl Kinney Excavation located at 35 Rock Avenue in Hortonville. The program is open to children ages 12 and up. Students will learn basic Marksmanship skills in a safe environment. The program will meet every Wednesday at 7 PM and will continue through the end of May. Please contact Al Steppich at 845-701-5481 if you would like more information.
