May is here, and with it comes that perfect mix of warm sun and cool breezes. The flowers are in full bloom, the days are getting longer, and it feels like the whole world is coming alive. Whether you’re out enjoying the local events, taking in the beauty of nature, or just soaking up the good vibes, there’s no denying that this is one of the best times of the year around here.

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

Be sure to go out and vote for the Sullivan West Central School District School Budget and Election on Tuesday, May 20.

Our Lady of the Lake is holding a Sausage & Pepper Lunch on Saturday, May 24 from 12-2pm with a $12 suggested donation. Lunch includes sausage & pepper sandwich, chips, macaroni salad & a brownie. Please contact Ann 315-727-4446 or Peggy 845-932-9988 with any questions.

The Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid Society would like to thank the community for supporting our recent Penny Social! We had another great turn out! Many thanks to all who supported us, donated items, baked cakes, and volunteered to help us. God Bless you all! Thank you!

The Cochecton Volunteer EMS is looking for part-time residents who want to help their community. Lakeview Bar is having an Ultra Dance Night on Saturday, May 31, beginning at 8 pm. Music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, 21 and older with a $10 entry fee. See you there! 

There will be a FREE Rabies Clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Wednesday, June 18, from 6-7:30pm at the Town of Fallsburg, Morningside Park Pavilion, 630 Brickman Road, Hurleyville. For more information contact the Sullivan County Department of Public Health at 845-292-5910.
