CALLICOON CENTER FIRE DISTRICT

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Special Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Callicoon Center Fire District held at the Callicoon Center Fire house located at 1666 Firehouse Road, Callicoon Center, NY, Town of Callicoon, held on the 18 day of March, 2024, a Resolution was signed authorizing the purchasing of a 2023 Custom Pumper, with an amount not to exceed $630,000.00 to be financed through the issuance of a bond.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the adoption of the Resolution to borrow funds for this purchase is subject to a Mandatory Referendum must be approved at a Special Election by the taxpayers residing within the Fire District.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, this action requires a Mandatory Referendum to be approved by the taxpayers of the Town of Callicoon and the Town of Fremont. There will be a Special Election held on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to approve or not approve this purchase. Residents of both towns will be able to vote at the Callicoon Center Fire Station, 1666 Firehouse Road, Callicoon Center, NY.
