LIBERTY–– It was a beautiful day at the Liberty softball field Saturday where the Bad News Beers won convincingly over Paesanos by a score of 16 to 4.

The sun was shining on the BNB’s bats as they pounded out 27 hits in the win. They were especially active in the second inning where they jumped out to a big lead, . They held onto that lead for the remainder of the game making the outs they were given in the field and staying hot at the plate.

Austin Shaver and Allen Ward each had big days for the BNB’s, both of them ending the day with 4 hits and 3 RBIs. Shaver also showed off his speed by getting all the way around the bases for a home run.

Paesanos was a little shaky out in the field at times, but fought hard to score 4 runs, with Ed Schutte recording 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.
