The question being asked all over Sullivan County – Is allergy season over yet? And, I have been hit hard this year as well. But don’t let that stop you from going out and enjoying the many events on tap throughout our community. Just bring tissues and a sign that says – “It’s Allergies!”

Don’t miss the Opening Day of this year’s Rock Hill Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 6 from 10 AM until 1 PM at the Rock Hill Firehouse, 61 Glen Wild Road, Rock Hill. Vendor favorites are returning with new vendors to explore. Live music and a tasting and recipe demo under the Educational Demonstration Tent. Begin the summer season off right!

Don’t miss the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce First Friday June Networking Breakfast on Friday, June 5 from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM at Forestburgh Playhouse. The perfect place to network and discover some of the best kept secrets in Sullivan County. Contact the Chamber to reserve your seat today.

The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation Leadership Sullivan Class of 2026 will hold its Graduation on Tuesday, June 16, at the Resorts World Ballroom with a networking reception at 5:30 PM and Buffet Dinner and Ceremony at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $75 dollars per person. The Leadership Class is a 10-month intensive leadership training and in-depth look at Sullivan County. From Agriculture, Education, Government, Tourism, Economic Development, Health and Wellness, Environment, and more, the class members, sponsored by their employers, attend training to learn the good, the bad, and the ugly of our community. In addition, the class is required to produce a legacy project based on their research that will benefit the community. This year’s class is doing an all-schools Comfort Closet Project. Members of the class bring back valuable information to their employers as well as become leaders in our community. And speaking of the Comfort Closet Project, the Sullivan Central Rotary Club in conjunction with Forestburgh Playhouse will sponsor Far Beyond Gone in concert to benefit the Leadership Sullivan Comfort Closet Project in our local schools on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Doors open at 7 PM for dinner (not included in the price), with the show starting at 8 PM. Come party at the Tavern with this powerhouse band while helping for a great cause. You’ll be rocking’ to high-energy tunes from the 60s to the early ‘oughts! Bring your dancing shoes and kick-off an amazing Sullivan County Weekend with Far Beyond Gone at one of the hottest spots in the county. Cover is $15. Bring an item to help fill the comfort closet (shampoo, soap, powder, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, new socks and underwear, and more). For each item donated, you will receive a raffle ticket to win some amazing door prizes! Raffle tickets will also be available for sale. 

The Pride Festival at HPAC will be held on June 6, from Noon to 4 PM. Food, Vendors, Artisans, Bouncy House, entertainment and more! Don’t miss this family fun filled event and visit some of the fabulous establishments in Hurleyville while there! For more information, contact Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre. 

The Holy Cross Church in Callicoon will hold a Pancake Breakfast at the Church on Sunday, June 7, from 8 AM until Noon. Tickets are $12 each, Children ages 5 – 12 are $5, with those under 5 free. Call 845-866-2336 for more information. 

The Annual Bernie Deutsch Memorial Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Fallsburg Fire Department is Sunday, June 7, from 7 AM – Noon at the Fallsburg Fire House, 10 Railroad Plaza, South Fallsburg. Adults are $13, Children 12 and under $8, and 4 and under are free. Menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, coffee, tea, orange juice, and milk. Tickets available at the door. 

The Monticello Elks Lodge #1544 will hold a BBQ Chicken Dinner Drive thru on Wednesday, June 3, starting at 4 PM until 7 PM (or sold out). Tickets are $15 per dinner and include half a chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, fresh corn on the cobb, dinner roll and dessert. FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) – no worries. Sullivan Central Rotary still has a few flags left for purchase through its Flags for Heroes Program. Ceremony to be held on June 14, 2026, Flag Day at 2 PM at the Sullivan County Government Center at 11am. Honor Veterans, parents, police, community members, doctors – whomever is your hero in this tribute to what makes our community great. A commemorative medallion will be available to hang on the flagpole or to take with you to hang in your home. The recognition flags can be “purchased” for a donation of $50 each with proceeds to benefit the community work done by the Sullivan Central Rotary Club.
