A time-honored tradition, the Fourth of July parade in Narrowsburg was a festive affair on Saturday afternoon. Residents and visitors braved the heat to watch the fire trucks and floats go by from Bridge Street to Main Street while an abundance of candy was collected by the youngest parade-goers.
The Narrowsburg Fire Department kicked off the parade and later held their famous chicken barbeque from the fire station on Bridge Street.
Fireworks that were scheduled for last Sunday night were canceled due to rain and rescheduled to Friday, July 10.
