NEVERSINK – On the 13th of June, the Neversink Horseshoe League sponsored a “Throwing for a Cause” Horseshoe Tournament and Benefit for Katlynn (Greffrath) Beale, a loved and respected Tri Valley Community member suffering from Breast Cancer with complications.

The hugely successful event included live music, a chicken dinner, many raffles, and a 26 team, highly competitive, tournament. The winner of the tournament, without ever having to toss a horseshoe, was Katlynn, receiving $15,000 to help support her and her family during this challenging time in their lives.

The Neversink Horseshoe League is a community-oriented sports league that conducts several tournaments a year that are open to the public. Proceeds from select Tournaments go to support local scholarships for students going into the “Trades”.
