NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

COUNTY OF SULLIVAN

County of Sullivan will hold a public hearing on November 18, 2021 at 10:50AM in the Legislative Hearing Room in the Government Center at 100 North Street, Monticello, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Name of Community's community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) through the CDBG-CV program. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $60 million in Federal Funds for the 2020 CDBG CV program for supporting small business, improving air quality in public facilities, environmental improvements in housing for safe shelter, conversion of underutilized buildings for affordable housing and public services. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. At this time, the County is considering an application to assist the Center for Discovery with a campus wide project to improve the air quality in their facilities. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

The Legislative Hearing Room in the Government Center at 100 North Street, Monticello, NY is accessible to persons with disabilities. Written comments may also be submitted to the Clerk of the Legislature at the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello, NY until November 19, 2021 (24 hours after PH), 2021 to receive comments.
