HONESDALE, PA — The Cooperage Project invites the community to a special Open Mic for Mental Health, an evening dedicated to promoting mental health awareness while creating space for connection, creativity, and support. This all-ages event will take place at The Cooperage on Wednesday, May 27th and welcomes performers and audience members alike to participate in a meaningful night of shared expression.
This is a free event, with donations benefiting The Tyler Paul Whitman Memorial Scholarship, established in honor of a Wallenpaupack High School graduate.
The evening will feature music, poetry, storytelling, spoken word, and more, offering a welcoming platform for voices of all kinds. Whether stepping up to the microphone or simply being present to listen, attendees are invited to take part in an atmosphere rooted in compassion and community.
Events like this remind us of the importance of being heard—and of showing up for one another. Through art and conversation, Open Mic for Mental Health aims to reduce stigma, encourage openness, and celebrate the healing power of connection.
Doors and performer sign-ups open from 5:30 to 6:00 PM, with performances running from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. All are welcome to attend this special evening of community. For more information, visit thecooperageproject.org/happenings.
