Police Benevolent Assn.’s give support to food pantries

MONTICELLO – Four local Police Benevolent Associations (PBAs) are continuing their commitment to community service by providing charitable support to local food pantries, helping ensure that individuals and families facing food insecurity have access to essential food supplies.

On Saturday, September 26, representatives from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s PBA, the Monticello PBA, the Fallsburg PBA, and the Liberty PBA joined funds and forces to participate in the annual ShopRite Partners in Caring Program- “Mission to End Hunger.”

Members were positioned outside the Monticello ShopRite with police cars in a campaign to “Stuff the Cruisers.” Food and monetary donations were collected, and the donated goods were then delivered to the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless in Monticello.

Through ongoing fundraising efforts, charitable contributions, and community involvement, the four PBAs are working together to support organizations that provide vital assistance to residents in need.

Local food pantries play an essential role in addressing hunger, relying heavily on donations, volunteers, and community partnerships to meet the growing needs of residents. The continued support of the participating PBAs helps these organizations maintain their services and aid individuals and families throughout the area.

The four participating Police Benevolent Associations represent local law enforcement professionals who are dedicated to public safety, community engagement, and charitable service. Through their continued support of local food pantries and other community initiatives, the organizations strive to make a lasting, positive impact on the residents they serve.
