LIBERTY--This past week the Liberty Red Hawks took the court against the visiting Beacon Bulldogs in a league matchup that ended in a tough loss for the Red Hawks.
From the jump both teams came out aggressive and physical on the defensive end with both teams remaining scoreless for the first few minutes of the game.
Liberty trailed the entire game and tried fighting back but the shots simply would not fall. The Red Hawks did their best to hold on but after half time the Beacon Bulldogs took a huge lead and went on to seal the divisional victory.
The Red Hawks have a crucial couple of games coming up to make that final push to Sectionals which gives them a chance at redemption against Beacon. The Bulldogs clinched their section birth with this win over the Red Hawks. Liberty was led in scoring by trio of Zack Alvord with 10, Joseph DiBartolo with 8, and Adrien Ferguson with 6. Beacon was led by Michai Thompson with 15 points.
With this loss to Beacon, Liberty drops to 1-5 on the season.
