LONG ISLAND – It’s a wrap on the 24’-25’ gymnastics competitive season. This past weekend Tweed’s Gymnastics level 3 and 4 competition team traveled to Pratt Recreation Center at Long Island University in Old Westbury, NY for the Downstate Championships.

As parents braved torrential downpours and bumper to bumper traffic, the weekend ended on a high note. All gymnasts came home with a championship medal. An honor given to all gymnasts who qualify for states.

Alessandra Stanley won the bronze medal for her performance on the vault receiving a score of 9.150 and an all-around total of 35.175. Amaya Burton scored a 9.1 on bars and had a total all-around score of 35.750.  Anna Acevedo finished with an all-around score of 32.475, Emilia Tomasulo brought home a medal on the balance beam with a score of 9.025 and an all-around total of 34.550.

Arianna Weiss-Rodriguez finished with an all-around score of 33.850. All scores are out of 10 for individual events and 40 points for the all-around score. You can join Tweed’s Gymnastics for their 41st Annual Gymnastics Exhibition on Saturday, May 24th at 4pm in the Monticello High School gymnasium.
