Following their impactful 50-mile "Walk Against Hunger" from Liberty to Montgomery, Marty and Lynn Colavito have once again demonstrated how grassroots efforts can fuel meaningful change.
Recently, Marty presented a $14,000 check to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County (CCE), raised during the couple's walk to support local hunger relief. The funds will benefit the Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard, a mobile food distribution and outreach initiative created in partnership between CCE Sullivan and the community coalition SALT (Sullivan Allies Leading Together).
Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program brings nutritious food directly to homes across the county via a refrigerated van, addressing persistent food insecurity in both rural and underserved areas.
