Public safety is a foremost necessity for the growth, prosperity and progression of society as a whole. In recent times as we have seen all over the country, public safety itself has been demonized and demoralized. It is of the utmost importance that because of this, we have the right leaders within public safety to continue ensuring safety of society so as our country, state and in this instance, county can thrive and progress. In being a leader to do this, it is going to take integrity, transparency and accountability to do so. There is no other person I can think of that will make Sullivan County a safer place than Timmy Dymond.
My name is Mike Burbridge. I am a retired NYPD 1st Grade Detective spending my career in the Brooklyn North Anti-crime Unit, Detective Bureau, Security Detail for Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and finishing my Career in the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Timmy and his entire family for 25 years now. First as College Football teammates and roommates, then going to the NYPD at the same time and continuing our friendship through the years. I can say with certainty that there is no better candidate for Sullivan County Sheriff than Tim. A true friend til the end, family man, father, cop, investigator, union President, coach, and last but not least former fellow interior defensive lineman in college, Timmy is one of the most impressive individuals I have ever met who undoubtedly leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.
He became this way from his strong family background which in turn made him into a natural born leader. When he told me about running for Sheriff, it wasn’t a surprise. Timmy can achieve anything he sets his mind to. In saying that, I can say with 100 percent certainty that he IS the best person to protect and represent the people of Sullivan County, as its next Sheriff. DYMOND ‘25.
