Forestburgh, NY – Welcome to the Rock! Come From Away, the unforgettable Broadway hit, opens at the Forestburgh Playhouse on August 25 and runs through September 6. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8PM, Wednesdays at 2PM, and Sundays at 3PM.

On September 11, 2001, 38 planes were forced to land in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. What happened next is an extraordinary true story of kindness, compassion, and human connection.

The Forestburgh Playhouse production is proudly sponsored by Formaggio Cheese, whose continued support helps bring bold and inspiring stories to life on stage. The entire 80th Anniversary 2026 Season is made possible by generous sponsorship from the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association and Silent Maid. Thanks to Van Etten Energy Systems, the Playhouse stays powered up and shining bright all season long! Also a special thank you to Do Good Spirits, Vintus NY, and Catskill Brewery for providing our beverages in the Tavern for the season.

Directed and Choreographed by Chaz Wolcott and with musical direction by Cooper Sheehy, this production promises to deliver a soaring, unforgettable score and a story that celebrates the very best of humanity.

“We can’t wait to share Come From Away with our community,” said Producer, Franklin Trapp. “It’s a powerful reminder that even in the most unexpected moments, kindness, hope, and human connection can change everything.”
