LIVINGSTON MANOR – On Saturday, August 1 the Garden Conservancy is offering an exclusive educational opportunity for garden enthusiasts in Livingston Manor called Plants, Place, and Structure: A Collaborative Catskill Garden.
The session will focus on how two lifelong, plant-loving gardeners indulge their shared passion for color and profusion on their first joint project while still being guided by a sense of place and strong structure.
In this evolving gardener’s garden, set on a sprawling beef cattle farm in the western Catskills, Dean and Mermer hope to inspire you to harness your own passion for plants with responsive, thoughtful, and sustainable design.
This event occurs from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person; $30 for members of the Garden Conservancy. Visitors are reminded that no pets are allowed. All registrations must be processed online through the Garden Conservancy's website. Visit gardenconservancy.org/opendays.
Fueling America’s passion for gardens, the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days™ program is the only nationwide garden visiting program. Over three decades, Open Days has welcomed more than 1.4 million visitors into thousands of inspired private landscapes—from urban rooftops to organic farms, historic estates to suburban sanctuaries—in 41 states.
