You’re in luck—Yulan parade returns!

Posted

A crowd turned out on Sunday afternoon to watch the Yulan St. Patrick’s parade, complete with fire trucks, music and festive floats. The popular event had been stopped for a few years, but returned in 2024 organized by the Town of Highland, marking this the third year since its return and 53rd annual in total. The parade kicked off with Sullivan County Sheriff Mike Schiff, followed by the Grand Marshals—John and Debra Conway. Also in the lineup were Eldred School athletes, Bethel Woods, local fire and rescue departments, and more local businesses and organizations.

The route stepped off at the Four Corners in Yulan where Airport Road meets up with Beaver Brook Road, and wound its way back around, as revelers stood by. Throughout the day several local restaurants, including Crossroads Restaurant and Bar, Back to Bakers Restaurant and Bar, and The Park Bar offered Irish fare.
