June 10 – The Solstice and Ash Mystic Shoppe located at 4893 State Rte 52, Jeffersonville is hosting Nature Bingo by The Creek on Saturday, June 20 from 5-7 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket along with your friends, your good vibes and your game face too! The Sullivan West SADD 5K Powder Fun Run/Walk was an amazing success with 94 participants ranging in age from 4 to 62 years young! Such a great and memorable day with perfect weather and our community members that included students, families, and their staff having lots of fun!

More exciting news for our Sullivan West Central School District! Congratulations on being awarded the $125,000 Sullivan 180 Golden Feather Community Impact Grant to renovate and enhance the Lions Field. Growing up in Jeff I remember so many fun filled events for our community that fizzled out over the years. It was a place where many school and family events were held including the Jeff Jamboree (or Jeff Fest back then), lots of different sporting events, etc. Some of the improvements will be: upgraded basketball courts, new pickleball courts (I still can’t wait to see what that is all about), some outdoor exercise equipment, improved walking paths and better seating areas with enhanced concessions. It will be a great place once again for our community to come together to make new memories with friends and family!

Please take a moment on a Sunday to come to the Jeffersonville Farmers Market at the Jeff Bake Shop. Local vendors are there with lots of different items to sell (I really wanted to bring home a baby goat) baked goods, meats, cheeses, jewelry, gift items, flowers, live music and lots more from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last weekend the “Little Sparrow Band” played some great tunes, and they will be back this Sunday too.

The White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church invites you to join them for vacation bible school “Emerald Crossing- an Irish Adventure Through Psalm 23” beginning from July 27 to July 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is open to children ages 3-12 and you can register by calling ahead at 845-866-2576 or at the registration table any night of VBS.

Beware of the bears! They seem to be plentiful this year. Make sure your garbage is secure so they don’t decide they need a free meal.
