LIBERTY – Livingston Manor/Roscoe used plenty of small ball and excellent base running to go on to defeat the Redhawks 11-9, Monday afternoon in Liberty. The Wildcats held a 10-2 lead before holding off a furious Liberty rally as the Redhawks scored seven runs in the 5th and 6th innings.
Everyone contributed offensively for Livingston Manor/Roscoe as eight different players had at least one run scored and the team racked up 9 stolen bases on their way to victory.
Manor/Roscoe’s Angelina Schwartz had a double, two singles, 1 RBI, 3 stolen bases and 3 runs scored. Jaida Gould had 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Alex Potosek, Allison Froehich, Shelly McKinley also each had a hit. In the circle, Alex had eight strikeouts on the way to earning the victory.
For Liberty, Megan Schmidt led the Redhawk offense with 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Brenna Mangan had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Aubrey Botsford and Angie Wheeler each scored twice. Angie, Cameryn Will, Addison Bury, and Maddy Stewart had hits for Liberty.
