LIBERTY — The Beginner Farmer Program has plenty of classes and events coming up this year on a variety of topics and open to folks at all levels of farming.

Farmer Mixer at Upward Brewing Company

Thursday, February 8th 5-7 PM

Enjoy an evening with great conversation and community with folks from our farming community. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Agricultural Funding Series

Monday, February 5th 6 -7 PM – Class #2 with the USDA-FSA

Thursday, March 14th 6 -7 PM – Class #3 General Funding Opportunities

Date and Time TBA – Class #4 with NYS Grown & Certified 

Learn about the variety of funding opportunities out there for agricultural businesses with speakers from different Agricultural Organizations! Can’t make it? These classes will be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel.

Marketing Series (Registration opens first week of February)

March 13th 6-7:30 PM –Tips and Tricks for Marketing Tools

March 27th 6-7:30 PM –Where to Start with Marketing Your Business

April 10th 6-7:30 PM –Get the Scoop on Marketing with Social Media with Kendra from the Herbal Scoop

Explore the magic of marketing and all the tools you can use to grow your business. Learn how to utilize marketing tools, how to develop a marketing plan and how a farmer uses marketing to create a successful farm business. At each session, the presenters will share information with participants, and there will be a time allocated for a Q&A for the participants.
