BETHEL — The Town of Bethel Town Board opened its Wednesday night meeting with a moment of silence honoring longtime Planning Board member Bill Brey, who passed away on April 27
Supervisor Dan Sturm said Brey was born in Kauneonga Lake and spent his entire life in Bethel.
Board members also recognized Brey as the founder of Brey’s Eggs, the longtime local business now operated by his son and family.
Town officials remembered Brey for his years of service to the community and the Planning Board before beginning the evening’s agenda.
