LIVINGSTON MANOR – With the impending end of the 2022-23 school year, and athletics already reaching their conclusion for the year, Livingston Manor and Roscoe hosted their sports awards nights to celebrate the hard work of all of the student-athletes for the spring season.

From baseball and softball to track and golf, student-athletes from both schools were honored in back-to-back nights in each school’s auditorium.

Livingston Manor’s awards night was first, with the Wildcats hosting their awards dinner on Monday night, followed by Roscoe on Tuesday.

The varsity track and field team was up first, as coaches Evan Bowers and Nate Juron called their team to the stage. Olivia Stickle and Daniel Aiello received MVP Awards. Brody Day, Athena Niforatos and Logan Ballard were presented with Coaches Awards, and Isabella Francisco received the Sportsmanship Award.

Livingston Manor’s varsity softball team was up next. Demetra Goranitis received the Sportsmanship Award, Allison Froehlich received a Coaches Award and Mackenzie Carlson was named as the MVP.

For the varsity baseball team, Anthony Hicks won the Sportsmanship Award, Robert Staudt received a Coaches Award and Anthony Zamenick was named as the team’s MVP.

After a brief intermission for dinner, Athletic Director Dave Eggleton presented the special awards for the 2022-23 year.

First, Livingston Manor’s Scholar Athletes were Mackenzie Carlson and Braeden Green.

Coaches Choice Awards were next on the list, and the recipients were Alyssa Peck, Jocelyn Mills, Robert Staudt and Morgan McKinley. The awards were voted on by the varsity coaching staff and the winners are athletes who have made an impression both on and off the field as individuals who represent themselves, their families and the district in a manner that reflects positive examples/role modeling.

Daniel Tolbert and Mackenzie Carlson received Athlete of the Year honors for their hard work and success this year.

Roscoe’s awards dinner on Tuesday picked up where Livingston Manor’s left off, starting with the varsity golf teams.

Sarah Evans earned a Coaches Award for varsity girls golf for her hard work this season.

Gavin Thomas and Wesley Kinne earned Coaches Awards for boys golf and Aiden Johnston was named as the MVP for the 22-23 season.

Roscoe’s Scholar Athletes for the 2022-23 school year were Ashlee Ladenhauf and Anthony Teipelke.
