MONTICELLO — The Village of Monticello rolled a strike last Wednesday with the grand opening of its newest attraction: Bowling on Broadway.
The long-vacant Broadway Theater at 498 Broadway has been transformed into a modern entertainment venue, thanks to a major revitalization effort led by the Sullivan County Land Bank. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, drew local leaders and community members for a morning of remarks, tours, and cheers.
Now fully open to the public, Bowling on Broadway features 12 full-size lanes, two miniature lanes designed for children, a vibrant arcade, and a full-service restaurant offering a fresh pizza menu and drinks. Party packages and group events are also available, making the space a promising new hub for family fun.
“This is more than just a bowling alley—it’s a state-of-the-art entertainment center and a major investment in the revitalization of Monticello,” said Ashley Leavitt, President & CEO of the Sullivan County Chamber. “We’re proud to celebrate this new chapter and all it represents for the community.”
Guests at the event were also able to explore the newly designed facility and got a firsthand look at what many are hoping will become a staple of downtown Monticello’s developing revitalization, including the addition of Sullivan County’s first dedicated bowling venue in many years.
