If you or a close relative or friend has been diagnosed with breast cancer, you know the shock and fear that accompanies it. Since 2000, Breast Cancer Options has provided support and information services for women in the Hudson Valley and their families, educating them about effective treatment options and helping them to make informed decisions. We are the only service provider in the counties we serve and the services we provide are unique.

Breast Cancer Options’ innovative programs have been recognized by the New York State Department of Health for their excellence and the services we provide are unduplicated in the Region. We have helped countless women and their families. Our services are free!

Some of our services:

·Camp Lightheart provides a safe place for the children of breast cancer survivors or children who have lost their mom to the disease. Camp helps them deal with their feelings and connect with other children in similar situations. It is the only service that we know of for these children.

·Metastatic Breast Cancer Retreat provides a unique opportunity for women living with stage 4 breast cancer to form connections, find support and learn tools and coping skills. It also includes family night led by a therapist so that family members can get help dealing with a loved ones diagnosis.  It is one of the only services in NYS for women in this situation.

·Support Groups are led by trained survivors who understand what it is like to be diagnosed with a potentially life threatening disease. We have 5 monthly support groups on Zoom.

·The Healthy Lifestyles Calendar is an annual Regionally distributed informational digest that educates consumers about topics relevant to breast cancer and risk reduction: Precautionary Principles; Non Toxic Home & Office; Cosmetics, Beauty & Health Products;Lifestyle; Exercise; Nutrition; Plastics; Vitamins; Herbs & Supplements; Screening & Detection; Detoxification & Advocacy.

·Massage & Acupuncture services provides free sessions to women who are suffering from treatment side effects and/or need to de-stress. Both therapies help to reduce anxiety, help to control lymphedema, increase energy and improve immune function.
