As spring-like weather brought smiles to many Sullivan County residents last week, Malik Titus Bridges took advantage of the unseasonably nice weather to paint a still life of Broadway, Monticello.
Bridges set up his easel in front of The Black Library on Broadway, where he had just finished his own artist in residency program, and began painting again. Using acrylic paints with a brush in one hand and palette in the other, Bridges was all smiles as he enjoyed the day. Bridges is a 2010 Monticello Central School alumnus who attended SUNY Delhi and then returned to his hometown to pursue painting. Unfortunately, winter weather is returning to Sullivan County today, with an expected storm of eight inches.
