Carol Diamond of Wurtsboro, NY passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, after a long illness. She was 84.

Carol was raised in Monticello, NY and was a 1957 graduate of Monticello High School. During high school, she was an excellent student, captain of the cheerleading squad and was voted top female athlete as a senior. Carol earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in education at the State University of New York at New Paltz. She spent her entire 26-year teaching career as a Math teacher at Goshen High School. Her infectious personality will be remembered by her students and colleagues, for always going above and beyond, and for her continued encouragement and support to succeed. She also enjoyed her role as the High School’s Cheerleading Advisor for many years.

Upon her retirement from teaching, Carol worked in the community in the Bed and Bath Department at JCPenney in Middletown. She was always interested in people and believed in the importance of customer service.

Carol was an avid NY sports fan and loved gardening and home decorating. She always seemed to have a project taking place.

Carol loved her family deeply and had a soft spot for her three dogs.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Rose Feuer, her brother Dr. Alan Feuer and sister-in-law Karen Jossem.

Carol is survived by her husband of 63 years Harold, sons Larry (Terri) and Sandy (Julie), grandchildren Alexandra and Paul, and step-granddaughters Marissa and Taylor. She is also survived by dear cousins and relatives in the United States and abroad.

The family would also like to acknowledge and thank the amazing caregivers at English Rose Suites – Loch Wood House in Edina, MN.
