Chamber CEO resigns

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced on Friday that President and CEO Ashley Leavitt has chosen to step down from her role for personal reasons. Leavitt was appointed in July 2024.

“The board extends its sincere appreciation to Ashley for her dedication, leadership and service to the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and the business community,” Board Chairman Brad Rutledge said in a press release. “We wish her the very best in her future endeavors and thank her for the impact she has made during her tenure.”

During this transition, operations will continue without interruption, according to the Chamber. Geri Neumann, Membership and Operations Coordinator, will oversee any membership relations. Camden Olivero from Niche and Needle, the contracted marketing agency, will manage marketing, communications and social media. Board members will support event participation, leadership duties and organizational oversight to ensure continuity and stability.

“Our members and community partners can be confident that it is business as usual at the Chamber,” said Rutledge. “We remain fully committed to supporting local businesses, delivering value to our members and hosting the events and programs that strengthen our community.”

The Executive Board has initiated the search process for the Chamber’s next President and CEO. If anyone is interested in applying for the position, send a cover letter and resumé to chair@catskills.com.

For further information, contact Brad Rutledge, Chairman of the Board, Chair@Catskills.com or

Geri Neumann, Membership and Operations Coordinator, Office@Catskills.com.
