Dawn Seline Stackhouse, born on August 15, 1971, in Hyde Park, NY, passed away on April 1, 2024. She was a long-time resident of Poughquag, NY. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandchild, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Dawn will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her surviving family members, including her devoted husband Douglas Stackhouse, her cherished children Briona Harjes (Briona’s husband, Gregory) and Austin Stackhouse, her mother Mildred Hinck and Jeffery Hinck, her father Carl Fitzsimmons and Elsie Fitzsimmons, her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends that were more like family. Dawn’s love and presence in their lives will forever be treasured. She was predeceased by her brother Jesse Justice and her grandmother Grace Roscoe.

Throughout her life, Dawn was known for her compassionate and nurturing spirit. She dedicated her time and passion to various professions, including being a daycare provider, a travel agent, and a licensed esthetician. Her kindness and care touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. Her love for her family was her whole world. She loved all things Disney, listening to Chris Daughtry and making her house a home. She was a force to be reckoned with in the best way.

Dawn’s warm smile and gentle nature brought comfort to those around her. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her love for her family, and her dedication to her work. Dawn’s legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In honoring Dawn’s memory, let us hold onto the precious moments shared with her and carry forward the values of love and compassion that she exemplified. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
