ROCK HILL —Donna Singer has performed in London, England; Rome, Italy; Ireland, Wales and Switzerland. She’s stopping off in Upstate New York to perform with the Swing Shift Orchestra, an 18 piece big band. They’ll be performing the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and the award-winning song writing team Roy Singer and Mitchell Uscher, who also wrote the official Sullivan County theme song. Donna is a captivating and dazzling jazz showstopper. She earned her degree at the prestigious New York Academy of Theatrical Arts, with further studies at Juilliard. A gifted singer, Donna has toured around the world as a recording artist and jazz vocalist. Her live performances have been featured at venues such as Carnegie Hall, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Metropolitan Opera Guild Recital Hall in Lincoln Center. Wherever she is playing – a small club or a major festival or even at sporting events such as singing the national anthem at a Miami Dolphins game – Donna always wows everyone with her energy and stage presence. Her book ‘Raising The Bar, A Conversation with Donna Singer and Others’ is a #1 best-seller on Amazon Hot New Releases and her latest Christmas single ‘The Marvelous Magical Merry Mrs. Claus’ charted at #1 on the Roots Music Report for 3 weeks. Event Details: Date: Wednesday, July 31st, Time: 6:30-8:30 pm, Venue: Rock Hill Summer Music Series, at the new Town Park also known as Lake Ida located at 53 Adam’s Road in Rock Hill, NY “Ms. Singer has one of those bright and breezy voices, nimble enough to glide over the music yet subtle enough to carry the emotional heft of the lyrics. I thought there was a touch of Lena Horne’s vocal style too.” - John M. Peters, The Borderland UK.
