SWAN LAKE — A Friday morning fire caused extensive damage to buildings at Green Pastures Bungalow Colony in Swan Lake, according to Sullivan County Director of Fire Safety/Fire Coordinator John Hauschild.
Hauschild said the fire was reported at 5:48 a.m. at 26 Wheeler Road.
Departments responding to the scene included Swan Lake, Kauneonga Lake, White Lake, White Sulphur Springs, Jeffersonville, Hortonville, Lake Huntington, Liberty and Loch Sheldrake. Also responding were Bethel EMS, the Sullivan County Bureau of Fire, Sullivan County fire investigators, New York State Police and New York State ENCON Police.
Units from Smallwood-Mongaup Valley and Youngsville were placed on standby.
Hauschild said there were no reported injuries, but the fire caused extensive damage to buildings.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
