Dear Sir or Madam: 

The Monticello Elks Lodge will be holding its 1st Annual Penny Social on May 7th, to raise funds to support various local charities. 

In the past, the Monticello Elks Lodge has hosted several events for Monticello’s youth including, but not limited to: a “Hoop Shoot” where we provide local children to compete in a free throw program and advance to the national finals, winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves purchased and distributed for our local school districts for children in need, distributing drug awareness materials at public events, participating with other local businesses and town board in the “Trunk or Treat”, sponsoring our local little league and providing a venue for our local girl scouts to have their monthly meeting. In addition, we provide college scholarships to excelling youth.

 We are honored and proud to help our veterans. We hold an annual “Veteran’s holiday food box” event; where Veterans receive everything needed to have a wonderful feast for their entire family. This past year we also raised money and donated over a thousand dollars each to the Alzheimer’s Association, our local Sullivan County Heart-A-Thon and to the Cerebral Palsy Org. 

We hope that you would consider donating a gift card/gift basket to contribute to our Tricky Tray Raffle. Your donation will help us raise funds to continue supporting our various causes. As a donor, you will receive publicity during the event as your donation will be viewed by all attendees. We anticipate 200 attendees or more!
