Franklin P. Hahn, beloved husband of Carla Hauser Hahn, died Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Grover M. Hermann Division of Garnet Medical Center in Callicoon. He was 78.

Son of the late Franklin N. and Adelaide Wahl Hahn, Frank was born February 28, 1945 in Callicoon.

Frank was a 60 year active member of the Callicoon Fire Department where he served as Chief, Chief Engineer, and as a member of the Board of Fire Commissions. Frank was a member of FASNY and was named Fireman of the Year for Sullivan County following a train derailment just south of Callicoon in 1987. Frank was also a past member of the Pleasant Valley Hunting Club in Callicoon.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife Carla Hauser Hahn and by his canine daughter Bailey Bonkers.

Calling was held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Callicoon Firehouse 9305 State Route 97 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Firematic services were held at 7:30 pm at the firehouse. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1st, 2023 at 11 am at the firehouse. Burial will be at the Callicoon Center Cemetery in Callicoon Center, NY.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to all the staff at the Callicoon Hospital for their loving care for the last three weeks of his life and to the Callicoon Fire Department for their love and support through Frank’s last days.
