Happy Easter!

Posted

One of the most important dates of the Christian religion has hopped back around the calendar – Easter Sunday! Even though the Gospel story about Good Friday and Easter Sunday is a tale of mixed emotions from start to finish, we wish all of our friends who celebrate only a happy and healthy weekend.

Be sure to take the time to enjoy family, friends and the promise of another recurring springtime. We can only hope for good weather, especially coming off  yet another quick cold spell (and even that flash of snow.)

But sunshine or not, rain or not, cold or not – we hope that this Easter weekend is special for all of our neighbors who are looking forward to the holiday.

And the holiday isn’t just the only draw to this weekend! One iconic aspect of Easter that many people all around the world participate in are the classic egg hunts, sharing chocolate and candy and decorating their spaces with carrots and bunnies. And those celebrations hit deep at home. Around the county, communities set up egg hunts for their young ones, and sometimes get visited by the ever-beloved Easter Bunny. If you were on the fence on whether you wanted to dust off your kids’ running shoes and plastic buckets, you should get out there and give it a go! You never know what you might find inside those colorful eggs...

With eggs and everything else on the mind, this Easter is the perfect time for not only reflection and spending time with family, but for making memories that your kids will never forget.
