JEFFERSONVILLE -- Registration is open for the Janice Center’s fall programs: Ballet and Hip Hop dance; Music Together and Stepping Tones Pre-School. All will start in mid-September. Forms can be found in the registration section of the Janice Center website at www.janicecenter. com.

The Janice Center dance program is the largest in Sul- livan County -- 100 dancers performed in our Spring 2022 Recital. Classes are open to ages 4 and up. Ballet will begin on Saturday, September 17 and Hip Hop the week of September 19. The session will culminate with a performance in January.

Music Together is the Janice Center’s flagship program for ages 0-4, tapping into a young child’s innate musical instincts through customized programming that includes original songs, singing, dancing, chanting, instrument playing, parachutes, limbo sticks and more. Classes are 45 minutes and held once a week for 10 weeks, starting September 15.

Stepping Tones has become the most popular pri- vate pre-school program in Western Sullivan County. In addition to a curriculum that includes reading, math, time and space awareness, word recognition, letter and number writing, Stepping Tones incorporates the Janice Center difference: a healthy mix of art, music, dance, yoga, stretching, tumbling and more. Stepping Tones meets three days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) from 9-11:30 a.m. The first day of class for the 2022-23 school year is Monday, September 12.

The Janice Center is now entering its 15th year of pro- viding a home for the arts in Sullivan County. Located in Jeffersonville, thousands of children and adults have participated in its diversified programming, many going on to arts-related majors in college and careers.
